abstract | 1369247 Diamine and triamine derivatives PFIZER Inc 3 Aug 1971 [7 Aug 1970 24 May 1971] 36522/71 Heading C2C [Also in Division A5] The invention comprises novel therapeutic compounds (I) and the di-N-oxides, methonium iodides and non- toxic acid addition salts thereof wherein R 1 is alkyl of from 1 to 20 carbon atoms, aralkyl, aryloxyalkyl, hydroxyalkyl of from 2 to 8 carbon atoms or R 2 is alkyl of from 6 to 20 carbon atoms, aralkyl or aryloxyalkyl of from 12 to 24 carbon atoms or as Formula II above, R‹ is alkoxy of from 1 to 18 carbon atoms; each of R<SP>1</SP> and R<SP>11</SP> is hydrogen, alkyl, or alkoxy of from 1 to 18 carbon atoms; or R<SP>1</SP> and R<SP>11</SP>; when taken together, are methylenedioxy; provided that the total number of carbon atoms in R‹, R<SP>1</SP> and R<SP>11</SP> is from 5 to 48; R 3 is hydrogen, alkyl of from 1 to 20 carbon atoms, hydroxyalkyl of from 2 to 8 carbon atoms, phenylcarbamoyloxy-(alkyl), #- carboxyalkanoyloxy-(alkyl), allyl, alkanoyl of from 1 to 6 carbon atoms, alkanoyloxy-(alkyl), carbo alkoxy alkyl, carboxy (alkyl), alkoxy (alkyl) or gem-di-(alkoxy) alkyl; R 4 is hydrogen, alkyl of from 1 to 8 carbon atoms, hydroxyalkyl of from 2 to 8 carbon atoms, carbo alkoxy alkyl, alkanoyloxy-(alkyl), carboxy-(alkyl), alkoxy- (alkyl), phenylcarbamoyloxy-(alkyl), #-carboxyalkanoyloxy-(alkyl), allyl, dihydroxyalkyl of from 3 to 8 carbon atoms or morpholinoethyl; R 3 and R 4 when taken together with the nitrogen to which they are attached are morpholino; X is straight chain alkylene of from 2 to 6 carbon atoms or X<SP>1</SP> is X, phenylenedimethylene or m is 0 or 1, with the provisos that only one of X and X<SP>1</SP> is and when X<SP>1</SP> is phenylenedimethylene, m is 0; and when X is alkylene, m is 1 and each of R 1 and R 2 is as Formula II. They are made by standard methods. |
