titleOfInvention Hendered tris/meta-hydroxybenzyl/ cyanurate antioxidants
abstract 1368371 Hindered tris(meta-hydroxybenzyl-) cyanurates AMERICAN CYANAMID CO 14 Sept 1972 [16 Nov 1971] 42718/72 Heading C2C Compounds of the formula where R is a branched chain alkyl group containing from 3 to 12 carbon atoms, may be prepared by conventional methods, e.g. by reacting 1 mole of cyanuric acid with three moles of an appropriate 4-alkyl-3-hydroxy-2,6- dimethylbenzyl chloride. The compounds are antioxidants and may be incorporated into various organic materials to inhibit oxidative degradation thereof. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specification 1,259,179.
