titleOfInvention Ammonium and potassium isobutyrate as pathogen growth inhibitor and growth stimulator
abstract 1363369 Animal feed W R GRACE & CO 13 March 1972 11681/72 Headings A2B and A2D [Also in Division A5] A composition comprising a substrate injectable by plant and animal pathogens, for example an animal feedstuff, seed, ground cracked or whole corn, milo, peanut or cottonseed meal, wheat, or silage, contains an amount of an ammonium and/or potassium salt of isobutyric acid sufficient to inhibit the growth of said pathogens. Also present may be citric or lauric acid and sodium lauryl sulphate. The growth of pathogens in animals may be inhibited, and the growth of the animals promoted, by feeding them with the above compositions.
