abstract 1357881 Vinylacetate / crotonic acid copolymers; compositions thereof AGFA-GEVAERT 19 April 1971 [17 Feb 1970 20 Oct 1970] 7587/70 and 4754/70 Divided out of 135300 Heading C3P [Also in Division G2] In preparations (1) and (2), vinylacetate/ crotonic acid copolymers containing 7À8% and 14À8% of crotonic acid respectively are made by polymerizing the monomers together in the presence of azobisbutyronitrile. The polymers are then incorporated into coating composition comprising: 1 and 2; polyvinylpyrrolidone, water, carbon, methanol, ethanol, NH 4 OH, SiO 2 and ethylene glycol mono ethyl ether with or without methyl starch; 3, ethanol, ethylene chlorohydrin, ethyl acrylate/N-vinylpyrrolidone copolymer and carbon; 4, NH 4 OH, methanol, water, carbon, and a sodium organophosphorus compound; 5, water, ethanol and various dyes; 6, carbon, styrene/acrylic acid copolymer, methanol, water and NH 4 OH; 7, as 6 with additionally carnauba wax, polyoxyethylene octyl phenyl ether, polyoxy ethylene sorbitan monostearate, sorbitan monostearate and oleylmethyl taunide Na salt.
