titleOfInvention Dialkyl-4-hydroxyphenylcarboxylates of tris-hydroxyalkyl-iso cyanurate
abstract 1348093 Dialkyl - 4 - hydroxyphenylcarboxylates of tris(hydroxyalkyl)isocyanurate CIBAGEIGY AG 10 Feb 1972 [25 Feb 1971] 6301/72 Heading C2C [Also in Division C3] Novel dialkyl - 4 - hydroxyphenylcarboxylates of tris(hydroxyalkyl) isocyanurate having the general formula wherein R<SP>1</SP> and R<SP>2</SP> are (C 1 -C 4 ) alkyl groups or R<SP>2</SP> is hydrogen; n is 1 or 2 and x is an integer from 1 to 6 are prepared either by (a) reacting a tris(hydroxyalkyl)isocyanurate with an acid of the formula or with an acid halide or anhydride thereof, (b) transesterifying an alkyl ester of the above acid with a tris(hydroxyalkyl)isocyanurate, (c) reacting an alkali metal salt of the above acid with a tris(haloalkyl)isocyanurate, or (d) reacting a tris(alkali metal)cyanurate or isocyanurate with a haloalkyl ester of the above acid. The novel compounds may be used as stabilizers for organic materials.
