abstract 1347598 Lincomycin derivatives UPJOHN CO 8 June 1972 [23 June 1971] 26863/72 Heading C2C Novel lincomycin derivatives of the Formula I wherein Halo is Cl, Br or I; R is C 1-4 alkyl, and Ac is the acyl radical of an L-2-pyrrolidinecarboxylic acid of the FormulĀµ A and B above, R 1 is C 1-8 alkylidene, and alkyl contains 1 to 8 carbon atoms, ethers, esters and acid addition salts thereof are prepared by reacting the corresponding compounds in which the L-2-pyrrolidinecarbonyl radical is N-unsubstituted with 2- hydroxyethyl alkylating agents. Antibacterial compositions contain the above novel compounds together with pharmaceutically acceptable carriers.
