1344993 Azidosulphonyl compounds and intermediates therefor KODAK Ltd 29 April 1971 [4 May 1970] 21281/70 Heading C2C [Also in Divisions C3 C4 and G2] Compounds of the formulĀµ are made by reacting sodium azide with 2 : 5- bis - (x - chlorosulphonyl - 2 - methylphenyl)- thiazolo(5,4-d)thiazole and 2: 5 - bis - (xchlorosulphonyl - 3 - methozyphenyl)thiazolo- (5,4-d)thiazole respectively. The latter are obtained by chlorosulphonation respectively of 2: 5 - bis - (2 - methylphenyl)thiazolo(5,4-d)- thiazole and 2: 5 - bis - (3 - methoxyphenyl)- thiazolo(5,4-d)thiazole which are obtained by reacting o-tolualdehyde or m-methoxybenzaldehyde with dithiooxamide in dimethylformamide. 4 - Azidosulphonylphenylaminopropane- 3<SP>1</SP>-sulphonic acid, potassium salt, of the formula is made by reacting aniline-4-sulphonyl azide and 1: 3-propane sultone and then treating with KOH. Thiophene - 2 : 5 - di(benzoxazol - 2 - yl - xsulphonyl azide) of the formula is made by chlorosulphonating 2: 5-di(benzoxazol - 2 - yl)thiophene and reacting the product with sodium azide. 7(2 - Chloro - 4 - diethylamino - s - triazinyl)- aminocoumarin - 3 - ylbenzene - x - - sulphonyl azide of the formula is made by chlorosulphonating 7-(2-chloro-4- diethylamino - s - triazin - 6 - yl)amino - 3- phenylcoumarin and reacting with sodium azide. |
