abstract | 1343515 Tackifiers for synthetic rubber NIPPON OIL CO Ltd 19 Oct 1971 [20 Oct 1970] 48532/71 Heading C3P Synthetic rubber compositions contain, as a tackifier, 3-30 phr of a phenol-modified resin obtained by polymerizing 100 parts by weight of a hydrocarbon mixture boiling in the range 140-180‹ C., containing unsaturated hydrocarbons and produced by cracking of petroleum, and 3-15 parts of a phenolic compound in the presence of 0À05-5 parts of a catalyst selected from BF 3 , complexes thereof, and AlCl 3 . In examples the rubber is alfin-type SBR, conventional SBR or SBR/polybutadiene rubber blend, and the compositions also contain carbon black, processing oil and conventional vulcanizing ingredients. |
