abstract | 1341618 Aerosol antiperspirants COLGATEPALMOLIVE CO 7 Dec 1971 [9 Dec 1970] 56834/71 Heading C4X [Also in Division A5] Aerosol antiperspirants comprise a substantially anhydrous suspension of a powdered astringent in a liquified gaseous propellant containing a small quantity which is less than the weight of astringent (e.g. 0À25 to 3À0% by weight of the total) of finely divided polyethylene. Suitable astringents are the commonly used aluminium salts such as aluminium chlorohydroxy complexes. The propellant may be a fluorinated hydrocarbon or hydrocarbon, e.g. the various "Freons" (Registered Trade Mark), propane, butane, pentane and isobutane. Bacteriostats, perfumes and dispersing and lubricating agents (e.g. non-volatile liquid organic esters) may also be present. |
