1341000 Triallyl isocyanurate-containing prepolymers NIPPON KASEI KK 8 Nov 1972 [9 Nov 1971] 51614/72 Heading C3R Triallyl isocyanurate-containing prepolymers are obtained by reacting triallyl isocyanurate with an aliphatic aldehyde in the presence of a catalyst for a sufficient time to obtain a product having a triallyl isocyanurate content of from 60% to 95% by weight and an average molecular weight of from 1,000 to 30,000. In Examples triallyl isocyanurate is reacted with n-butyraldehyde, acetaldehyde, propionaldehyde, isobutyraldehyde and 2-ethyl caproic aldehyde; the catalysts are azobisisobutyronitrile, tertiary butyl peroxy-benzoate, di-tertiary butyl peroxide, benzoyl peroxide, lauroyl peroxide, cumene hydroperoxide and cobalt naphthenate. Uses.-For making mouldings. |
