abstract | 1336949 Adenosine derivatives BOEHRINGER MANNHEIM GmbH 3 July 1972 [6 July 1971] 30967/72 Heading C2C Novel compounds I and salts thereof in which A is C 1-5 alkyl or C 1-5 alkoxy, X is a bond or oxygen and n is 1 to 5 are prepared by reacting a 6-halopurine riboside with an amine of general Formula III The hydroxyl groups in the ribose residue are blocked by protective groups. Amines used are 2 - (2, 3 or 4 - methoxy - phenyl)cyclohexylamine, 2 - (2 - methyl - phenyl)cyclohexyl- or pentylamine or 2 - (3 - methoxy - phenyl)cyclopentylamine. Compounds I have a beneficial action on blood vessels and circulation and also lower the level of lipids in serum and they form with a solid or liquid diluent or carrier a pharmaceutical composition which may be administered orally or parenterally. |
