titleOfInvention | Use of carboxyalkyl hydroquinones in photographic processes and materials |
abstract | 1335614 Photographic processing EASTMAN KODAK CO 19 April 1971 [18 March 1970] 24551/71 Heading G2C Photographic silver salt diffusion transfer process uses, as developing agent, a hydroquinone substituted in the 5-position with a methyl, ethyl or alkoxy group and in the 2-position with a 4-9 C carboxyalkyl group. The hydroquinone preferably contains H, halogen or alkyl in the 6- position. Preferably the substituted hydroquinone is in the processing composition or the photosensitive material. The substituted hydroquinone may be used in conjunction with other developing agents especiallly otherhydroquinones (e.g. aminoalkyl hydroquinones), cinnamic acid derivatives, hydroxy-and/or amino-coumarins, pyrimidines and anhydro dihydro amino reductones. The invention also relates to monobaths containing a silver halide solvent and the above developing agent. |
