titleOfInvention Copy sheet for use in a thermographic copying system
abstract 1329186 Photographic materials and transfer processes NASHUA CORP 19 April 1971 [2 April 1970] 25306/71 Heading G2C A material for use in a copying process comprises a support coated with a non-light-sensitive silver salt and a benzylidene or naphthylidene hydrazone which is present in an amount such that the silver salt is not reduced on heating the material except in the presence of another reducing agent. The material is preferably used as a receiving sheet in the processes of Specifications 1002350, 1280593 and 1296969 wherein a sheet containing a naphthol, an acetonitrile or a pyrazolinone as reducing agent is imagewise exposed to light to render the agent inactive and then placed in contact with the-receiving sheet whilst heating to transfer the remaining reducing agent and produce a black image. Alternatively this second, light-deactivable, reducing agent may be present in the material. A dye may be present to extend the sensitivity of the second reducing agent to the visible spectrum.
