1328107 Dyeing polyester with disperse dyes CIBA-GEIGY (UK) Ltd 22 Dec 1970 [30 Dec 1969] 63187/69 Heading D1B Polyester fibre is dyed with an aqueous dispersion of a disperse dye in presence of a compound of formula R-O-(-CH 2 CHXO-) n -H in which R is phenyl or a chloro-substituted phenyl group, n is an integer I to 3, X is hydrogen or methyl, X being methyl when n is 1 and at least one X being methyl when n is 2 or 3 or a compound of formula R-O-(-CH 2 CH 2 O-)- n H in which R is a chlorosubstituted phenyl grouping and n is an integer 1 to 3, in the absence of a di- or tri-chloro benzene or of an added emulsifier. Preferred compounds are those derived from 1 mole of ethylene oxide and 1 mole of ortho, meta or para-chlorophenol, dyeing may be at 115- 135‹C or by boiling, continuous process also being specified. |
