titleOfInvention Triazine carboxylic acids and esters
abstract 1326887 Aminotriazine-aminocarboxylic acids and esters CIBA-GEIGY AG 29 April 1971 [30 April 1970] 12139/71 Heading C2C The invention comprises the compounds of formula in which R 1 is phenylene or C 1-10 alkylene, R 2 is phenyl, C 1-6 alkyl or hydrogen, R 3 is hydrogen or -C x H 2x COOH in which x is 1-10, and R 4 and R 5 are each hydrogen, alkyl, alkenyl or phenyl. The compounds are prepared by reacting cyanuric chloride with R 4 R 5 NH or R 3 NHR 1 COOR 2 in either order. Aryl esters can be prepared by transesterification from phenol and alkyl esters. Methyl p-aminobenzoate is prepared by esterification.
