titleOfInvention | Photosensitive compositions comprising bis-diazonium salts |
abstract | 1324548 Bis-diazonium salts E I DU PONT DE NEMOURS & CO 25 Nov 1970 56126/70 Heading C2C [Also in Divisions C3 and G2] Bis-diazonium salts wherein the cation has the formula wherein R<SP>1</SP> is a substituted or unsubstituted benzene, naphthalene, anthracene or phenanthrene radical; Y is -CO 2 - or -SO 3 -, n is at least 4; and R<SP>1</SP> is attached to the C or S atom of -CO 2 - or -SO 3 - respectively, and the anion is an anion of an inorganic acid, are obtained by diazotizing the respective bisamines of the formula Examples are given for the production of the salts. (1,4 - Butanediol) - dibenzoate - 4,4<SP>1 </SP>- bisamine may be obtained by reduction of the corresponding 4,4<SP>1</SP>-bis-nitro compound which is itself obtained by acylating 1,4-butanediol with pnitrobenzoyl chloride. (1,4 - Butanediol) - dinaphthyl - 6 - sulphonate-2,2<SP>1</SP>-bis-methyl-1,1<SP>1</SP>-bisamine may be obtained by reduction of the corresponding bis-nitro compound which is itself obtained by acylating 1,4-butanediol with 1-nitro-2-methyl-naphthalene-6-sulphonyl chloride. Azo - benzene - 4,4<SP>1</SP> - bisamine may be obtained by acid hydrolysis of the corresponding 4,4<SP>1</SP>-bis-acetylamino compound. This amide is itself obtained by diazotizing p-aminoacetanilide and coupling it with an equivalent quantity of p-aminoacetanilide. p-Aminoacetanilide is obtained by reduction of p-nitroacetanilide which is itself obtained by acylation of p-nitroaniline with acetic anhydride. |
