abstract | 1322464 Determination of triglyceride BAXTER LABORATORIES Inc 19 April 1971 [21 Jan 1970] 20225/71 Heading B1X Triglyceride in a fluid is determined by saponifying to give glycerol, reacting the glycerol with adenosine-5'-tri-phosphate, preferably in the presence of glycerokinase, reacting the resultant ADP with phosphoenylpyruvate, preferably in the presence of pyruvate kinase, reacting the resulting pyruvate with 2,4-dinitrophenylhydrazine, and measuring the optical density of the resulting 2,4-dinitrophenylhydrazone pyruvate colourimetrically at about 440mÁ. The fluid may be blood serum. |
