titleOfInvention Optical brightener compound containing a coumarin and a triazole nucleus
abstract 1317307 2 - (3 - Phenylcoumarin - 7 - yl)-4-mchlorostyryl-v-triazole CIBA-GEIGY AG 10 July 1970 33649/70 Heading C2C [Also in Divisions C3 and D1] The invention comprises a compound of formula It may be obtained by (1) subjecting a compound of the formula or of the formula to treatment with an acid reacting condensing agent; or (2) subjecting a compound of Formula II or II<SP>1</SP> to oxidative ring closure and reducing the v-triazole-1-oxide compound obtained with nascent hydrogen. An example is given for the production of the compound. Isonitroso - m - chlorobenzalacetone - [3- phenyl - coumarinyl - (7)] - hydrazone is obtained by reacting a solution of 3-phenyl-7- hydrazino-coumarin in methanol and acetic acid with m-chlorobenzal-isonitrosoacetone.
