titleOfInvention | Granulated animal feed supplement and process for preparing it |
abstract | 1316377 Animal feed supplement AZOTE ET PRODUITS CHIMQUES SA 17 Aug 1971 [17 Aug 1970 6 July 1971] 38596/71 Heading A2B A ruminant animal feed supplement has the following composition (by weight): Non-protein nitrogenous compounds (calculated as N 2 ) 18 to 28% Phosphate compounds (calculated as P) 4.5 to 8% Sodium chloride 0 to 15% Sodium sulfate (calculated as anhydrous Na 2 SO 4 ) I to 5% Double carbonate of calcium and magnesium 6 to 10% Trace elements (Cu, Fe, Zn, Mn, Co, I) 1.5 to 2% Sulfur (in addition to that present as sodium sulphate) 0 to 2% The trace elements may be present as iron oxide, potassium iodide or the sulphate of zinc, copper, manganese and cobalt. The supplement may be prepared by mixing the above compounds with a quantity of water sufficient to form a paste at 55 to 70‹C and granulating. The paste may be pulverised inside an ascending gaseous flow at the point of a cylindrical enclosure having a frusto conical base, in which previously prepared granules are circulated and maintained as a fluidised bed by the ascending gas. |
