1312192 Isoprene TAKEDA YAKUHIN KOGYO KK 7 July 1971 [16 July 1970] 31832/71 Heading C5E Isoprene is produced by reacting isobutylene and formaldehyde in the vapour phase in the presence of a solid catalyst comprising SiO 2 and a Bi component. The catalyst may also contain one or more of Al, P, B, W, Fe, Ti, Zr, V, Cr, Mo, Mn, Co, Ni, Cu, Ag, Cd, Mg, Ca, Tl, Sn, Pb, Rb, Cs, Sr, Ba, Nd, In and Te. The molar ratio of isobutylene to formaldehyde is preferably greater than 3 : 1 and the reaction temperature higher than 180‹ C. Inert gaseous materials may be present. |
