abstract | 1311773 Phosphorothiolate esters SUMITOMO CHEMICAL CO Ltd 1 July 1970 31997/70 Addition to 1214188 Heading C2P [Also in Division A5] The invention comprises phosphorothiolates of the general formula wherein A is a normal propyl group, R is ethyl, X is Cl, Br or C 1 -C 5 -alkyl, and n is 0, 1, 2, 3, 4 or 5, the groups or atoms X being the same or different when n is an integer from 2 to 5. They may be obtained by reacting a thiophosphate of the formula wherein M is an alkali metal with an n-propyl halide YA where Y is a halogen atom. The compounds IV may be obtained by reacting a compound of the formula with an alkali metal hydrosulphide MSH and the salt formed may be reacted, without isolation, with the n-propyl halide to form the products I. The products have insecticidal and fungicidal properties. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specification 969,029. |
