titleOfInvention | Production of gelatinized dispersions |
abstract | 1310615 Laminates KANEGAFUCHI BOSEKI KK 7 May 1970 [10 May 1969] 22042/70 Heading B5N [Also in Division C3] A laminate is made by placing alternating layers of rice paper and a fabric reinforcement between layers of a solution formed by cooling a gelatinized dispersion made by passing an aqueous dispersion, formed by adding starch particles or an aqueous suspension of starch particles to an aqueous solution of polyvinyl alcohol having a temperature below the gelatinization temperature of the starch at a constant rate through a tubular heater having internal agitation means, so that the dispersion is heated to a temperature sufficient to gelatinize the starch in the dispersion and continuously adding acid and aldehyde to the cooled dispersion; the laminated material is then heated to acetalize the alcohol, and then washed with water to remove the rice paper. |
