titleOfInvention | Alkyl-o-phenyl or substituted phenyl thiolphosphonic acid esters |
abstract | 1310436 O - Alkyl - 0 - phenyl (or substituted phenyl) thiol-phosphonic acid esters BAYER AG 31 March 1970 [2 April 1969] 15204/70 Heading C2P The invention comprises compounds of the general formula wherein R is C 1 -C 4 alkyl, R<SP>1</SP> is phenyl, halophenyl, C 1 -C 4 alkylphenyl, C 1 -C 4 alkylmercaptophenyl, C 1 -C 4 alkyl, C 1 -C 4 alkylmercaptophenyl, C 1 -C 4 alkoxyphenyl or C 1 -C 4 alkylhalophenyl and n is 0 or 1. They may be obtained by hydrolysing a compound wherein Hal is halogen and then reacting the product, expediently without isolation, with a compound of the formula The hydrolysis is suitably effected with an alkali MOH wherein M is a monovalent metal equivalent (e.g. Na or K) or ammonium and the hydrolysis and subsequent reaction is preferably effected in aqueous or aqueous-alcoholic solution although other organic solvents or mixtures thereof are also suitable. The products have insecticidal and acaricidal properties and may be used as active ingredients in conventional pesticidal compositions. |
