abstract | 1310232 Animal feedstuffs ISAAC SPENCER & CO (ABERDEEN) Ltd 5 June 1970 [7 March 1969] 12212/69 Heading A2B An animal feed concentrate for pigs comprises a protein-containing or amino acid-containing base, 6-10% by wt. lysine available to the pig, at least 2.5% by wt. of other essential natural or synthetic amino acids and sufficient calcium, phosphorus, sodium, chlorine, vitamins and trace elements for health and growth. The concentrate may contain methionine, threonine, histidine, isoleucine and crude protein. The concentrate may comprise meals prepared from marine animals, milk or milk products, meat meal and meals prepared from slaughterhouse offal and by-products or soya or other vegetable sources. The concentrate may be used with cereal and milling byproducts thereof. The concentrate may be in an amount up to 6.5% by wt. of an animal feed. In Ex(1) the concentrate comprises blood meal, fish meal, meat and bone meal, grain, dicalcium phosphate, sodium chloride, calcium carbonate, 1-lysine monohydrochloride, methionine, vitamins, and trace elements and in Ex(2) blood meal, herring meal, hydrolysed feather meal, dicalcium phosphate, calcium carbonate, sodium chloride, 1-lysine monohydrochloride, methionine, vitamins and trace elements. |
