1302753 Disproportionating olefins PHILLIPS PETROLEUM CO 13 April 1970 [14 April 1969] 17397/70 Heading C5E [Also in Division B1] Olefins are disproportionated in the presence of catalysts comprising a mixture of an organoaluminium compound and NO- or NOCl-treated supported molybdenum or tungsten oxide. In examples, (1) pent-1-ene is converted to C 5-8 olefins by MoO 3 /Al 2 O 3 /NOCl/Me 3 Al 2 Cl 3 in C 6 H 5 Cl; (2) pent-1-ene to C 2-8 olefins by MoO 3 /Al 2 O 3 /NO/Me 3 Al 2 Cl 3 in C 6 H 5 Cl; (3) oct-1- ene to C 7-16 olefins + ethylene by MoO 3 /Al 2 O 3 / NO/Me 3 Al 2 Cl 3 in C 6 H 5 Cl; (4) pent-1-ene to C 2-8 olefins by WO 3 /SiO 2 /NO/Me 3 Al 2 Cl 3 in C 6 H 5 Cl; (5) propylene to C 2-4 olefins by MoO 3 /Al 2 O 3 /NO/ Me 3 Al 2 Cl 3 in C 6 H 5 Cl; (6) pent-1-ene to C 5-8 olefins by MoO 3 /Al 2 O 3 /NO/Et 2 AlCl or Et 3 Al 2 Cl 3 in C 6 H 5 Cl; (7) pent-1-ene to C 5-8 olefins by WO 3 /SiO 2 /NO/EtAlCl 2 in C 6 H 5 ; and (8) oct-1- ene to C 8-16 olefins by MoO 3 /Al 2 O 3 /NO/Me 3 Al 2 Cl 3 in the vapour phase. |
