titleOfInvention | Manufacture of natural amino acid mixtures from protein materials |
abstract | 1293508 Protein hydrolysates; amino acid mixtures ISTITUTO DI RICERCHE BIOMEDICHE ANTOINE MARXER SpA 19 April 1971 [4 April 1970] 25422/71 Heading C3H Amino acid mixtures produced by acid hydrolysis of protein, e.g. fish flour, soya flour, soya protein, dried blood, dried meat, animal organs, casein, albumin and the like, using a mineral acid (H 2 SO 4 preferred) are purified by diluting the acid hydrolysate, filtering and absorbing the amino acids on a cationic exchange resin containing sulphonic acid groups in either free acid or ammonium salt form and thereafter eluting the amino acids by an aqueous ammonia solution having an ammonia concentration not exceeding 2À55% by weight. Thereafter, the eluate is freed from ammonia by evaporation at low pressure. |
