titleOfInvention | 3,4-dichlorofuroxan and pesticidal compositions containing the same |
abstract | 1293324 Pesticidal compositions PHILIPS GLOEILAMPENFABRIEKEN NV 26 July 1971 [29 July 1970] 34961/71 Heading A5E A pesticidal composition suitable as a soil treatment preparation for controlling fungi and nematodes is characterised in that the preparation contains 3, 4-dichlorofuroxan as the active constituent in combination with a solid or liquid inert carrier material. The preparation may also contain a known pesticidal compound and/or a fertiliser. Known pesticidal compounds specified are dibromochloropropane, dichloropropane, dichloropropene, ethylene dibromide, trichloronitromethane and mixtures thereof. The compositions of the invention may be applied as solutions, emulsions or granules in amounts ranging from 4 to 40 kgm active substance per hectare. The compositions are preferably applied at soil depths of between 5 and 30 cm. The compositions are especially active against soil fungi and nematodes and the inclusion of further active substances may produce synergism. |
