abstract | 1288666 Yeast KANEGAFUCHI KAGAKU KOGYO K K 10 July 1970 [3 March 1970] 33629/70 Heading C6F A mixed culture of a hydrocarbon-assimilating yeast and a hydrocarbon-unassimilating yeast is cultivated in a culture medium under aerobic conditions using petroleum hydrocarbons as a carbon source. Examples are directed to the mixed cultivation of: 1. Candida brumptii (assimilating) with Candida utilis, Torulopsis pseudaeria, Debaryomyces hansenii or Trigonopsis variabilis (unassimilating); 2. Candida tropicalls, Candida parapsilosis, Torulopsis magnoliae, Torulopsis xylinus, Zygosaccharomyces tikumaensis, Zygosaccharomyces sake or Pichia miso mogii (assimilating) with Rhodotorula rubra (unassimilating); 3. Candida guilliermondii (assimilating) with Trichosporon cutaneum (unassimilating); and 4. Candida rugosa (assimilating) with Trichosporon pullulans (unassimilating). Other hydrocarbon - assimilating and hydrocarbon - unassimilating species of yeast are paritcularly mentioned. |
