abstract | 1279412 Medicines comprising carbamates HASSLE AB 9 June 1969 [11 June 1968] 27787/68 Heading A5B [Also in Division C2] Pharmaceutical compositions for decreasing gastric hydrochloric acid secretion in mammals comprise a carbamate of formula I: (in which R<SP>1</SP> is C 1-6 alkyl, C 2-6 alkenyl, C 3-6 cycloalkyl, C 3-6 cycloalkenyl, C 2-8 alkoxyalkyl, or a radical of formula II: wherein A is C 1-4 alkylene, C 1-4 alkyleneoxy linked to the phenyl nucleus via the oxygen atom, or C 2-8 alkyleneoxyalkylene linked to the phenyl nucleus via a carbon atom, and each of R<SP>4</SP> and R<SP>5</SP> is H, OH, C 1-3 alkyl, C 2-3 alkenyl, C 1-3 alkoxy, C 2-3 alkenoxy, C 1-4 hydroxyalkyl, F, Cl, Br, NO 2 , CHO or NH 2 ; and R<SP>2</SP> is H, C 1-4 alkyl, C 2-4 alkenyl, C 3-6 cycloalkyl, C 3-6 cycloalkenyl, C 2-8 alkoxyalkyl, C 3-9 alkoxyalkoxyalkyl, or a radical -COR<SP>3</SP> wherein R<SP>3</SP> is C 1-4 alkyl, C 2-4 alkenyl, C 1-4 alkoxy, C 2-4 alkeneoxy, C 2-8 alkoxyalkoxy, C 3-9 alkoxyalkoxyalkyl, C 2-8 alkoxyalkyl, or a radical of formula III: wherein B is a valency bond or C 1-4 alkyleneoxy linked to the phenyl nucleus via a carbon atom) together with an anticholinergic compound.
