abstract 1277255 Antistatic PVC compositions CHEMISCHE WERKE HULS AG 17 Oct 1969 [18 Oct 1968] 51021/69 Heading C3P An antistatic P.V.C. composition contains (a) 1-3% of either R 2 Sn(S(CH 2 ) n X) 2 or CH 3 -C(NH 2 )=CH-COOY in which R is C 4-12 alkyl, X is COOR<SP>1</SP> or OCOR<SP>1</SP>, R<SP>1</SP> is C 4-12 alkyl, n is 1-4, and Y is C 8 -C 20 alkyl or alkenyl or -R<SP>2</SP>-OOC-CH=C(NH 2 )-CH 3 where -R<SP>2</SP>- is C 2 -C 8 alkylene or alkenylene optionally containing an oxa or thia substituent. (b) 0À4-2À5% of an ester of a C 7 -C 30 fatty acid and a C 8 -C 31 monohydric alcohol and/or a partial ester of such an acid with either a C 2 -C 4 polyhydric alcohol or a polyalkylene glycol having 2-10 ethylene oxide or propylene oxide units. (c) 0À4-2À5% of a C 9 -C 28 monohydric alcohol or an alkoxylation product thereof containing 1-10 ethylene oxide or propylene oxide units. Compositions containing aminocrotonic esters as (a) may also contain Ca/Zn stearate and butyl epoxy stearate.
