abstract 1275969 Deodorant capsules MENNEN CO 24 Oct 1969 [10 Jan 1969] 52213/69 Heading A5B [Also in Division B8] A pressurised aerosol deodorant composition comprises an aerosol propellant and deodorant capsules, the capsules containing an encapsulate which includes a deodorant which is an anti-oxidant and/or an anti-bacterial, the capsules having walls which are water-soluble (as defined), but are insoluble (as defined) in the propellant and encapsulate, and impermeable (as defined) to the propellant and encapsulate. The capsule walls may be, for example, composed of dextrin, gum arabic or a filmforming polypeptide. The antibacterial is suitably hexachlorophene. Other deodorant ingredients are also specified, e.g. undecylenic acid, dichlorophene, p-chloro-m-xylenol, benzyl p-hydroxybenzoate, o-phenylphenol, propyl gallate, zinc omadine, butylated hydroxyanisole, neomycin sulphate and 3,4,4'-trichlorocarbanilide. A perfume may also be present.
