titleOfInvention New diazasteroids
abstract 1275591 3,4-Diaza steroids E R SQUIBB & SONS Inc 16 May 1969 25177/69 Heading C2C The invention comprises compounds of FormulĀµ I and II wherein Y is C 1-6 alkyl, aryl, (C 1-6 alkyl)-aryl, aryl-C 1-6 alkyl, halo-C 1-6 alkyl, haloaryl, (haloaryl)-C 1-6 alkyl or trifluoromethylaryl; R is hydroxy or C 1-11 hydrocarbon carboxylic acyloxy; and R<SP>1</SP> is H, C 1-6 alkyl, vinyl, ethynyl, halovinyl, haloethynyl or trifluoromethyl-ethynyl; or R and R<SP>1</SP> together represent oxo. Compounds I (R=acyloxy, R<SP>1</SP>=H) are prepared compounds II by reduction and acylation, and are converted by hydrolysis, oxidation, organometallic reaction and esterification into other compounds I. Compounds II are prepared by reacting 5#,17# - dihydroxy - 3 - oxa - A- norandrostan-2-one with YNHNH 2 . 5#,17# - Dihydroxy - 3 - oxa - A - norandrostan- 2-one is prepared from A-nortestosterone via 3#,5#,17# - trihydroxy - A - norandrost - 2 - one.
