abstract | 1,274,520. Resistors. MATSUSHITA ELECTRIC INDUSTRIAL CO. Ltd. 28 Aug., 1969 [29 Aug., 1968], No. 42811/69. Heading H1S. [Also in Division C1] A resistor composition adapted for application to a glass or ceramic base, consists essentially of 20 to 92% by weight of CdO and 8 to 80% by weight of glass frit. The glass frit may consist essentially of, by weight, 50 to 85% PbO, 8 to 25% B 2 O 3 , 5 to 10% SiO 2 and 0 to 15% ZnO. The PbO may be partially replaced by PbF. The CdO powder may incorporate less than 1 mol. per cent of Fe 2 O 3 , In 2 O 3 , La 2 O 3 or Ga 2 O 3 separately or in combination. The resistor is made by applying to a glass or ceramic base a paste consisting of 55 to 90% of the said composition and 10 to 45% of a liquid vehicle, heating the coated base up to the fusion point of the frit and applying electrical connection means to spaced points of the fused coating. The liquid vehicle may be a mixture of carbitol acetate and cellulose acetate butyrate. |
