titleOfInvention Photographic light-sensitive materials
abstract 1,274,156. Photographic light-sensitive silver halide materials. FUJI PHOTO FILM CO. Ltd. Dec. 15, 1970 [Dec. 16, 1969], No.59559/70. Heading G2C. A photographic light-sensitive silver halide material contains, in at least one layer, gelatin which has been irradiated by ultraviolet radiation until the viscosity relative to that of water of a 3% w/v aqueous solution of the gelatin at 35‹C. is from 4À8 to 7À1. The gelatin so treated may be used in the emulsion layer or a protective layer which may also contain a hardening agent such as a mucohalic acid, chrome alum or a dichlorotriazine. The gelatin when irradiated may contain a u/v sensitizing compound such as sodium 9: 10- anthraquienone -2-sulphonate.
