titleOfInvention | Method of recovering palladium |
abstract | 1,270,900. Recovering palladium. KURARAY CO. Ltd. Oct. 27, 1970 [Nov. 7, 1969], No.51022/70. Heading C7D. The precipitate formed during the preforation of an alkylene glycol ester by carboxylic acid solution with olefine and a nitrogen-oxygen containing compound in the presence of a palladium catalyst, is dissolved in an aqueous solution of one or more alkali metal hydroxides and cyanides and ammonia, the palladium-containing solution is reduced, e.g. by hydrazine, formaldehyde or hydrogen, and the precipitated palladium is separated. Preferably the palladium precipitate is dissolved at a temperature in the range -5‹C. to 100‹C. and the reduction is effected at a temperature in the range -5‹C. to 80‹C. |
