abstract | 1,260,726. Fodder. AZOTE & PRODUITS CHIMIQUE S.A. 17 Jan., 1969 [18 Jan., 1968], No. 2920/69. Heading A2B. [Also in Division C1] A process for producing animal fodder comprises allowing solid particulate organic waste products to fall and spraying, laterally on the falling solid particles, an aqueous solution and/or dispersion containing one or more chemical compounds possessing food value properties, e.g. compounds containing trace elements, hormones, pesticides, urea, phos-, phates nitrates, phosphoric acid and/or sodium chloride. Specified waste products are grape marc or mure, stalks, cobs, straw, chaff, bran, paper-waste, lucerne, compost, town refuse, wood flour, fish-meal and slaughter-house byproducts. Optionally there may be effected a pre-mixing of the waste products with ingredients such as trace elements, vitamins, growth factors, urea and/or minerals (carbonates, phosphates, sodium or potassium chloride). Other features disclosed are the formation on the granular products, of a urea/formaldehyde film; and the use of an apparatus comprising a spraying column, in the process of the invention. |
