[Also in Division C2] The invention provides a method for combating pests which comprises applying to their habitat at least one compound of formula: where R represents a hydrogen atom or an alkyl C 1-4 or phenyl radical, R<SP>1</SP> represents a halogen atom or an alkyl, haloalkyl or cycloalkyl group each having up to four carbon atoms (which may also be bonded to the nucleus via an oxygen or sulphur atom or a carbonyl group), a -CN, -SCN, amino, acylamino, mono- or di-alkylamino, carboxyl or carbalkoxy group or an optionally alkylsubstituted amido sulphane group, a nitro, alkyl, carbamoyl or free or acylated hydroxy group and R<SP>1</SP> if it is in the p-position may also represent a phenyl, phenoxy or benzyl residue which is substituted by at most three substituents, or a cyclopropane-carbonylamino or cyclopropane-carbonyloxy group, n is an integer from 1 to 4, or if R<SP>1</SP> represents only hydrogen atoms an integer from 1 to 5, and where there is a chlorine atom in the 4- or 2, 4-positions n is an integer of more than 2, alone or together with a compatible carrier and optionally further pesticides. |
