Novel compounds I in which -NHR<SP>1</SP> is phenethylamino or cyclohexylamino and -N=R<SP>2</SP> is mono- or di-alkylamino, wherein each alkyl is substituted, or unsubstituted, straight, branched or cyclic of 1-6C and acid addition salts thereof are prepared by reacting compounds II where X is halo. Compounds II may be prepared by reaction of compounds III with R 1 NH 2 . Pharmaceutical compositions comprise a compound I together with a suitable carrier or diluent and have anti-inflammatory and antiatherosclerotic activity when administered orally or parenterally. |
