[Also in Division C2] Herbicidal and fungicidal compositions comprise as active ingredient a bromoacetoxy aromatic derivative of the general formula: in which R is hydrogen or cyano, R<SP>1</SP> is hydrogen or methyl, Y is hydrogen, C 1 -C 4 alkyl or halo and n is 1 to 4, together with an inert carrier. Other biologically active compounds such as fungicides, bactericides, insecticides, growth stimulators, acaricides, herbicides, molluscicides, algicides and fertilizers and soil modifiers may also be incorporated in the compositions.
