titleOfInvention | Improvements in or relating to electric timing devices |
abstract | 1,244,345. Electrolytic timing devices. S. DAVALL & SONS Ltd., P.R. KELLNER and D. S. ALLAM. Nov. 12, 1969 [Nov. 12, 1968], No. 53582/68. Heading G3T. An electric timing device comprises an electrolytic cell having a silver anode, an electrolyte comprising a silver salt dissolved in a non-aqueous liquid, and means for indicating the time for which electrolysis occurs in the cell. The device may comprise a glass capsule 10 having brass/electro-tin end-caps 16, 17 connected respectively to a platinum cathode 11 and a silver anode 12, the latter being surrounded by a glass wall 15, The capsule 10 is filled with a solution of silver perchlorate in pyridine and containing perchloric acid. |
