abstract | 1,242,111. 3-Pyrazolidone derivatives. MINNESOTA MINING & MFG. CO. 13 Aug., 1969 [30 Aug., 1968], No. 41637/68. Heading C2C. [Also in Division G2] Novel 3-pyrazolidones of the general formula wherein R and R<SP>1</SP> each represent H, alkyl, substituted alkyl, cycloalkyl, aralkyl or aryl groups and the alkyl group of said radicals contains 1-6 C atoms, or R and R<SP>1</SP>, together with the N atom to which they are attached, form a heterocyclic ring which may contain one or more additional heteroatoms; R<SP>2</SP> represents an aryl or substituted aryl group, are prepared by one of the following methods: (1) by reacting a compound wherein R<SP>3</SP> is H or an alkyl group, with R<SP>2</SP>NH.NH 2 ; (2) by hydrolysing a 3-pyrazolidinimine of the general formula or (3) by reacting an ester of general formula with R<SP>2</SP>NH.NH 2 . In the examples the compounds 4-morpholinomethyl-1-phenylpyrazolidin - 3 - one, 4 - dimethylaminomethyl - 1- phenylpyrazolidin-3-one and its hydrogen oxalate salt, 4-dimethylaminomethyl-1-p-chlorophenylpyrazolidin-3-one and 4-piperidinomethyl - 1 - phenylpyrazolidin - 3 - one are prepared. |
