[Also in Division C3] Textile material, e.g. polyester, is treated with an aqueous composition comprising a latex of a terpolymer of 2- or 4-vinyl pyridine or a C 1-8 alkyl derivative thereof, butadiene or isoprene, and styrene, α-methyl styrene, vinyl toluene, or a chlorostyrene, a novolak resorcinol-formaldehyde resin and a resol resorcinol-formaldehyde resin. The treated material is then suitable for bonding to rubber, for example in tyres. |
