1,237,750. Blends of chloroprene polymers. DENKI KAGAKU KOGYO K.K. 15 Aug., 1968, No. 39036/68. Heading C3P. A composition comprises a blend of a tolueneinsoluble gel polymer having a cross-link density of at least 2À4 x 10<SP>-6</SP> obtained by copolymerizing chloroprene or a mixture of chloroprene and a copolymerizable monomer in the presence of a bifunctional monomer which is of the formula where n is 1 to 8 or of the formula where n is 2 to 4, or is divinyl benzene, divinyl ether, diallyl phthalate or divinyl sulphone, with a toluene-soluble sol polymer of chloroprene or a mixture of chloroprene and another monomer. The gel polymer is prepared by conventional methods. The composition may contain the usual compounding ingredients. The comonomer may be styrene or dichlorobutadiene. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specifications 1,148,690 and 1,158,970. |
