An insecticidal preparation for disinfestation of stored provisions (e.g. cereals, legumes and peanuts) comprises CCl 4 in a sealed gelatine container such as a capsule. Preferably the container is provided with a tapered part which can easily be cut, e.g. a tetrahedral form. Other insecticides also may be present and specified are Cl 2 , MeBr, p-dichlorobenzene, dichloroethane, dibromochloropropane, and dichloropropene and dichloropropane. The gelatin may be made mildew-resistant by the incorporation of a fungicide. |
