titleOfInvention Solid injection of indolylaliphatic acid derivatives
abstract 1,221,506. Compositions comprising indolylaliphatic acid derivatives. SUMITOMO CHEMICAL CO. Ltd. 7 May, 1969 [9 May, 1968], No. 23247/69. Heading A5B. A solid injection (as defined) is obtained by subjecting to lyophilization a solution consisting essentially of (1) an alkali metal salt of an indolylaliphatic derivative of general formula wherein R<SP>1</SP> represents an alkyl group having 1-3 carbon atoms, an alkoxy group having 1 or 2 carbon atoms, H or a halogen atom, R<SP>2</SP> represents an alkyl group having 1-3 carbon atoms, R<SP>3</SP> represents H or an alkyl group having 1-3 carbon atoms, R<SP>4</SP> represents an alkali metal atom, and A represents a phenyl group, a halogen-substituted phenyl group, a styryl or pyridyl group, (2) a pharmcaeutically acceptable organic amine having a pka value of 8-11, (3) a diluent for the solid injection and (4) water. Suitable amines include morpholine, choline, ethylenediamine, vrotropin, glucosamine, alkanolamines and basic amino acids. Other medicaments such as amino pyrine, sulpyrine, sodium salicylate, phenylbutazone and caffeine may also be present.
