titleOfInvention Multiple analysis hematology control fluid
abstract 1,215,662. Stabilised blood cell suspension. CHAS. PFIZER & CO. Inc. 2 May, 1969 [25 Feb., 1969], No. 22646/69. Heading B1X. A stabilised haematology reference control fluid which approximates the composition of normal human blood and which allows multiple analysis, e.g. lencocyte and erythrocyte counts, haemoglobin content and haemocrit determination, comprises a suspension of fresh human erythrocytes and tanned fowl erythrocytes, which serve as "simulated" human lencocytes, in a volume of anticoagulant-cantaining human serologically compatible difibrinated plasma medium approximately equal to the volume of the packed human erythrocytes, at a concentration of the fowl cells of 5,000-10,000 cells per cubic millimeter. 6-amino purine may be added as preservative.
