titleOfInvention Treatment of a particulate material with an anti-caking agent
abstract 1,214,006. Alkylaryl sulphonates. PETROCHEMICALS CO., Inc. 7 Dec., 1967 [9 Dec., 1966], No. 55697/67. Heading C2C. [Also in Division C1] Alkylaryl sulphonates are made by alkylating and sulphonating an aromatic hydrocarbon, the alkylation being effected before or simultaneously with the sulphonation. Finally, the product is neutralized. The alkylation is effected with an olefine of 3-18 carbon atoms, e.g. propylene, tripropylene or tetrapropylene. The aromatic hydrocarbon may be benzene, toluene, xylene or naphthalene or an oil of specified properties containing alkylnaphthalenes. The sulphonating agent may be sulphuric acid, oleum or sulphur trioxide. A flow sheet of suitable apparatus is given.
