Homopolymers of vinylidene chloride or copolymers of 50% or more by weight of vinylidene chloride are stabilized by incorporation of lead pyrophosphate. A polyhydric alcohol having at least 3 carbon atoms, e.g. pentaerythritol, may also be present. Specified copolymerizable monomers are vinyl chloride, vinyl acetate, acrylonitrile and esters of acrylic or methacrylic acids. |
