titleOfInvention | Process for the manufacture of Hydrazo Compounds |
abstract | 1,195,803. Preparation of hydrazo compounds. CIBA Ltd. 17 May, 1968 [17 May, 1967], No. 23621/68. Heading C2C. Hydrazo compounds of formula wherein A 1 and A2 each denotes a benzene and/ or naphthalene radical bound to the hydrazo group by an aryl C atom are prepared by reacting an azo compound of formula with a reduction product of a 1,4-diazine which has at most been reduced to the dihydro stage and the hydrazo compound is isolated by chromatography in the absence of oxygen. In an example a solution containing is prepared by reacting the corresponding azo compound in aqueous solution at pH 12 with 2 - methyl - 3 - acetyl - 1,4 - dihydroquinoxaline. The corresponding azo compounds containing instead of the 4-sulpho group a 2- or 3-sulpho or carboxy group may be reduced similarly. |
