titleOfInvention Improved Hydraulic Actuator Unit
abstract 1,192,815. Hydraulic actuators. ALLM€NNA SVENSKA ELEKTRISKA A.B. Oct. 6, 1967 [Oct. 19, 1966], No. 45826/67. Heading F1P. An hydraulic actuator unit comprises the assembly of a piston 5 slidable in a cylinder 4, a motor driven pump 2, a cooling coil 8 serving also as an expansion chamber and a directional control valve 12, the pump 2 being arranged to withdraw fluid from one side of the piston and deliver it to the other The directional valve 12, Fig. 2 (not shown) is arranged always to direct exhaust fluid through the cooling coil 8 without reversing the pump direction. The cooling coil 8 is helically wound and preferably of flattened cross-section. A shield 1, perforated to allow cooling air to pass therethrough, surrounds the cylinder, pump and cooling coil, but not the pump motor 3.
